Why blog?

I ask myself this question...

It takes time, planning, commitment, and a good amount of mental processing to come up with a topic that is insightful and useful to an audience.

Maybe the topics themselves matter less than the process of developing the blog's content over time?

The technology stack behind a blog is interesting for those who are technically inclined and for me that is as much fun if not more than writing the content.

I am standing this custom blog on a low end Linux Virtual Private Server that I use for my personal projects.  With the wide availability of Docker images in Dockerhub and free open source Content Management System to choose from it is easier than ever to do.

"Build it and they will come" is the approach that big huge success stories and failures of all magnitudes are made of.  The blog here is partaking into that approach, and we'll have to see where this leads.

Maybe I'll still be doing this next year, or maybe once the shiny novelty of the technology wears out I'll devote my free time to other (probably) more productive endeavors.
